“Italian cosmetic packaging company Lumson has developed a bottle design that does a better job of evacuating product,” reports Recyclable Bottle Design That Lets You Get the Last Drop - Core77
“Evacuating product”? What does that mean?
It means squeezing every last bit out of a container of quasi-liquid material. And we all know the feeling of tossing anything from a shampoo bottle to a toothpaste tube that has some stuff still in it, that maybe could be used but … y’know.
So is this a design solution to save us from that crummy feeling?

The TAG (Techno Airless Glass) bottle system consists of a glass bottle, a plastic pump and a collapsible pouch. The product, which is loaded into the collapsible pouch, never touches the walls of the glass; and because the pouch is airtight, after being fully dispensed there is “almost no product residue” remaining in the pouch. The bottle’s components can also be separated completely at a recycling facility, leaving behind clean glass and plastic ready for round two.
